What is Difference Between Growth and development?

the difference between Growth and development is that Growth is an increase and development indicates a sustained evolution, being the space of time in which the object studied more extensive is framed in the second than in the first.

The growth implies increased somewhat as, for example, population growth indicates an increase in the population of a region or country, personal growth refers to personal fulfillment and economic growth indicates a rise in profits.

Instead, development is measured by the positive progress of the steps towards an objective. it implies growth and that is why they are sometimes used as synonyms, but it is important to emphasize that development is a growth process and growth may not necessarily indicate a development.

In this sense, we can give as an example the difference between human growth and human development. Human growth indicates the increase in biological processes that are part of the life cycle of a human being and human development refers to the evolution in the social welfare of human beings in society.

The use of the concept of development will always be linked to sustained and continuous evolution, improvement or innovation. Thus, the economic development of a country, for example, must be based on economic indicators such as gross domestic product (GDP).

Personal development indicates the correct use of the mechanisms, techniques, and tools of improvement that contribute to personal growth or self-realization.

Social development differs from social growth in terms of temporal contexts of analysis, although both contribute to social welfare as the main objective.
